All products are created by hand in small batches, please allow 3-7 days for order processing. If the processing time for your order is estimated to be any longer, you will be notified right away via email. Once orders ship, an email notification and tracking number will be sent.

Mission Statement

The philosophy behind Pirouette is that beauty is everywhere, and by looking to art and nature we gain awareness of its presence. Drawing inspiration from these elements, a line of colorful, environmentally conscious products was created to serve peoples practical needs, but their true purpose is uplifting spirits by bringing simple beauty to everyday life.

Products are made from sustainable ingredients and are cruelty free. Pirouette incorporates recyclable and re-usable materials, post-consumer recycled content, the highest quality natural ingredients and locally produced components where available.

Products are made in Seattle, WA by hand and in small batches to ensure quality and a specialized attention to detail that only comes from truly dedicated hands on craftsmanship.

 Statement of Eco-Practices

Aromatherapy Soaps 

• Natural, Biodegradable, Sustainable: Pirouette soaps are made from all natural, biodegradable vegetable oils including RSPO certified sustainable palm oil. 

  About Certified Sustainable Palm Oil: The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil is a not-for-profit association formed in 2004, with the objective promoting the growth and use of sustainable oil palm products through credible global standards and engagement of stakeholders. The RSPO unites stakeholders from seven sectors of the palm oil industry - oil palm producers, palm oil processors or traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks and investors, environmental or nature conservation NGOs and social or developmental NGOs to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil. Sustainable harvesting supports environmentally conscious farmers, greatly reduces carbon emissions, prevents deforestation and saves animal habitat for countless species, most notably orangutans. Only about 2% of the worlds palm oil is RSPO certified sustainable at this point in time.

 Hand Printed Cotton Tote Bags

• Natural, Biodegradable Fiber: Made from 100% cotton.
• Reusable: Totes are reusable and reduce the need for paper and plastic shopping bags.
  
• Zero Carbon Printing Process: Designs are printed by hand and require no machinery or use of energy to produce.
• Green Packaging: Tags are recyclable and printed on partial post-consumer recycled paper.

   Handmade Note Cards

• Recycled Paper: Printed on partial post-consumer recycled paper.
• Recyclable: Paper card and envelope are recyclable.
• Reusable: Note cards are reusable as frame-able art pieces.
• No Waste Production: Card templates for printing are designed to fill an entire sheet of paper so that no waste is created in the process.

• Green Energy: The production facilities use 50% green energy for both electricity and gas heating with a goal to use 100% by the end of 2010.
• Recycling/Composting: All production materials that qualify are recycled and/or composted on site.
• Green Cleaning: All products used to clean and prepare work areas before and after production are 100% organic and biodegradable.
